Howard Bird 1953 - 2011

Howard died peacefully in the presence of his family after an 8 month battle with oesophageal cancer. Howard will be particularly remembered for his humorous writings in The Stage and in The Guardian and for his insight into the trials and tribulations of "getting the show on". Howard was also the first Chairman of The Theatre Safety Committee.
Howard's funeral will take place at 12 noon on Monday 5th September at Winchester Road Methodist Church, Highman's Park, London, E4 9JP. Howard has written the wervice - he has selected the music and the words - so it is his last performance. Howard was keen for his friends in 'the business' to attend.
